The Berlin Dérive Kollektiv is an aspirational open shared space for people interested in psychogeography in Berlin. Several cities have their own psychogeographical groups. When I attended the Fourth World Congress of Psychogeography in Huddersfield, England, in 2017 I was happy to meet many psychogeography enthusiasts, participate in several Dérives and got inspired to create new projects in Berlin.

A search for like minded psychogeographers did not yield any results. There were no regular groups that enjoy walking together to explore the city, although Berlin has many psychogeographic admirers. Students from UK based universities regularly visit the city on their psychogeographic assignments.

The Berlin Dérive Kollektiv hopes to change this psychogeographical blank spot in Berlin, so drop me a line if you are interested in exploring Berlin with a psychogeographical look. As a photographer, painter and sketcher, I hope new member who are interested in art will join too.

If you have an interest in walking, drifting, sketching, painting, taking photographs, sign up for the PhotoDérive Newsletter (still under construction!)

During October 2020 PhotoDérive is holding its first photo exhibition in Berlin, located at the Prenzlauer Studio in Prenzlauer Berg. If you want to meet for a cup of tea and a chat and potentially plan new events, work or collaboration, drop me a line to info (at) photoderive (dot) org if you want to get in touch. Due to contact restrictions, please contact me to make an appointment, so we can ensure the meeting can take place in compliance with current social distancing measures. Remember to bring your mask!

With hopeful regards
